A Circular Ecosystem Instead of a Disposable Product
NO-EM didn’t just design a circular office chair, they built an entirely new business model in which every link in the chain benefits from circularity. The company replaces the traditional “make–use–dispose” model with a cycle that gives products continuous new life.
The Infinity chair consists of fully interchangeable modules. Users can personalize it as they like, transforming it from a desk chair into a meeting chair and back again. When parts wear out, only the affected module is replaced, never the whole chair. The manufacturer takes back worn or damaged parts, refurbishes them, and returns them to circulation, significantly reducing environmental impact.
The most revolutionary element is the business model: every stakeholder, from designer Robert Bronwasser to manufacturer and service partner 706, earns from each transaction throughout the product’s lifecycle. This ensures economic sustainability and allows the chair to evolve with changing trends and functional demands.
Modular Design and Infinite Adaptability
Infinity combines ergonomic comfort with flexible design. Users don’t just choose colors and materials, they can also change the chair’s functionality. In just a few minutes, a desk chair can be converted into a meeting chair, and vice versa.
NO-EM offers two acquisition models: direct purchase or a subscription plan. Both can be paired with the optional Smart Care maintenance contract, which guarantees top performance throughout the chair’s entire lifecycle.
