As the candles of Advent glow warmer each week, we’re invited to pause, look back, and appreciate the journey that brought us here. For EasternGraphics, the founder of the renowned brand pCon, this season of reflection feels especially meaningful: in 2025, we celebrate 30 years of innovation, partnership, and growth. Much like the Advent calendar reveals a story day by day, our company’s history unfolds milestone by milestone – each one a small window into who we’ve become.
The first light: A beginning (1995–1998)
The story begins in 1995, when EasternGraphics was founded, a small team with a bold idea: to bring high-quality visualization and planning tools to the furniture and interior design industry. Two years later, in 1997, the world noticed. Our first public recognition came with a feature on the TV program „EINFACH GENIAL“ a moment that validated our vision and filled us with new energy.
In 1998, the light grew brighter: Hi-CAD joined us as our first official sales partner. It was the first of many strong alliances, and it marked the beginning of a partnership-driven culture that still defines us today.
Growing flames: Innovation at the core (2001–2003)
The early 2000s brought a new wave of creativity. In 2001, we launched pCon.basket, a versatile platform that allow users to quickly configure, organize, and share sales offer in a professional context. It was our first highly successful product – a solution that not only opened doors for us but also laid the foundation for the pCon universe the world knows today.
Then came 2003, a truly pivotal year. We introduced pCon.planner, a tool that revolutionized how professionals design and communicate spaces, and we moved our headquarters to Ilmenau, close to the innovative spirit of Technical University. In the same year we welcomed another partner, wegscheider office solution (2003), expanding our reach and reinforcing our commitment to collaboration.
A brand takes shape: Expansion and identity (2007–2008)
By 2007, our efforts crystallized into something bigger: the pCon brand was officially introduced, complete with secured trademark rights – a milestone that gave our products a unified identity recognized across Europe. We stepped confidently across borders, our first international subsidiaries, EasternGraphics Southern Europe (2007) and EasternGraphics Benelux (2007), were established. Instantly, our small Ilmenau team had become a true European family. In 2008, this family grew with EasternGraphics Romania, and our partner network expanded with SHD KPS Nordic joining forces with us.
Growing a continent, shaping a future (2010–2025)
Our European network flourished throughout the 2010s. With EasternGraphics France (2010), our partnership with K&S Media (2012), and EasternGraphics Poland (2013), we rooted ourselves firmly across Western and Central Europe. In 2017, the founding of EasternGraphics Turkey expanded our international corporate network with an important location in a new region.
As the newest member of the EasternGraphics family, EasternGraphics Swiss was established as a new branch in Switzerland in 2021. This enabled us to further strengthen our proximity to local markets and customers.
In 2024, the next generation of our powerful pCon.planner has arrived, setting new benchmarks in professional space planning with advanced 3D capabilities, intuitive workflows, and broad format support. The Beta Release for macOS brings this high-performance experience to even more creative professionals.
Building on its success, pCon.planner is now an integral part of academic training: in Germany, it has been incorporated into the curriculum at the MöFa–Technical School for the Furniture Trade in Cologne, and in 2025 it’s included in the curriculum at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski University in Kraków, Poland, further strengthening our collaboration with academic institutions.
Finally, the year 2025 arrives and brings a very special moment for us: EasternGraphics celebrates its 30th anniversary. Three decades of innovation, collaboration, and believing that powerful software can empower people to design better spaces.

Just like Advent invites anticipation and hope, our journey continues with a sense of excitement for what lies ahead. Every milestone we’ve passed has been lit by the people behind it – our teams, our partners, our clients. Together, we’ve built not just software, but a global community.
